Australian Stock Images licenses it's images as outlined in it's image use license. Sometimes customers might want to use our images for their own business where they will make a direct income from using them such as printing canvases, books, cards, postcards etc. So we offer our images for sale where you become the legal owner of the image.

Other customers might want to have ownership over an image so it isnt used elsewhere or it may become part of a brand.

When we sell an image we provide you the master print file along with the the original format of which the image was captured either film or digital RAW file.

Once you purchase an image we will remove if from our website as you are now the owner of that image.

The image you purchased may have been licensed to another business or organisation for use prior to your ownership purchase of it.

Depending on that use the image it might be printed or online. Print licenses are restricted for 12 months and web is a lifetime purchase.

Prior to buying an image out right you can reuqest if the image has been used and in what way and we can let you know. But we wont be able to let you know who has purchased the image.
